Retreat

On Saturday, June 29th we had a retreat for the board and volunteers. We had about 17 of us in attendance. It was a great time reminding us all of the vision, the goals of the school, our strategic plans for ensuring this ministry doesn’t die off, and two guest speakers. We had the local (this title isn’t quite right) commissioner of nonprofit children’s programs visit and share about things to watch out for as we build a program. And my friend Garth, who I used to work with, joined us to talk about how to raise funds. He previously raised millions a year for a local church, so has much Godly wisdom in this area. We all thoroughly enjoyed these talks.
